Dec. 17, Where is my Dream 100 ISO Film?
These are from a morning walk to the post office. Shot with my Canon IVSb2 and Voigtlander 21mm. Developed in FX-39 II. A morning walk in the 17° cold pretty much takes serious coercion for me to attempt. Avoiding a line at the post office when I had an international package to ship was coercion…

Nov. 24, Salvage
Through a little digital trickery I managed to make three more shots from yesterdays abortive roll of HP-5 into not completely hideous photographs. Maybe they have a sense of mystery or something now?

Sept. 6 Some Unintentional Multiple Exposures
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. When shooting my Chroma Six:9 camera in 6×9 format the film needs to be wound past every even frame, so you’re shooting on 1,3,5 etc. Of course I forgot that again, when I was shooting this roll, I even thought to myself “hmmm, I’m getting a lot…

Sept.4, A Short Tour of My Neighborhood
It used to be called Burke’s addition, and at one point it was considered the edge of town and was surrounded by farms. Now it’s considered midtown and is just a couple miles from downtown where the casinos are. It’s also designated a historic neighborhood but I don’t really know what that means other than…

August 11, A Few Frames of RPX 25 with the Altissa Box D
I do believe that this film with a speed of 25 is a better fit for the Altissa D. I bracketed a bit and shot most at both f/8 and f/16. The f/16 shots came out almost perfectly exposed, but with a (to me) beautiful glow to the highlights. The f/8 shots came out a…

June 11, Some Odds & Ends From That Roll of Portra 160
Shot with the Skink f/110 pancake pinhole on my Leica Ic. Just a few left overs really, that I wasn’t sure were good enough to post, but since I don’t really have anything else at the moment, here we go!

June 6, A Few Color Pinhole Shots Around Reno:
I’ve never shot Kodak Portra 160 before, I was pleasantly surprised. These were shot with the Skink f/110 pancake pinhole on my Leica Ic.

May 27, 5 Frames of Reno Fever Dream in Blue!
Note: If the intro to this article seems a little odd to readers of this blog, it’s because this is a rough draft of an article that I plan to submit to 35mmc. Call me lazy, but I didn’t want to write essentially the same article twice. In my last article for 35mmc I mentioned…

April 1, Agave Again?
My poor little “giant” blue agave. It’s almost twenty years old and it’s barely a foot across. I guess Reno is just the wrong climate for this species. I’m just glad it continues to survive and even propagate agave babies.
